Echo Chamber opens with the hammering of a single note like Morse code. It’s a melodic plaint driven by a syncopated piano rhythm that creates a mesmerizing robot-like vibe. Fitting, as this song intended for an AI character in a scifi musical co-written by long-time musical collaborators Kele Fleming & Ron Yamauchi. Some say that social media is the ultimate echo chamber - it connects us with like-minded people while blocking divergent viewpoints. This can do tricky things to our sense of reality & truth, not to mention self image.
